Handmade Platter Workshop

A slower, more hands-on workshop focused on hand-building and form. Join us in the studio as we guide you through the process of creating your own ceramic serving platter and matching dip dish using slab-building and mould-draping techniques. You'll learn how to shape and refine your pieces before adding your own personal touches through carving, texture and decorative details. To finish, you'll have the option to add underglaze colour, or keep your pieces simple and natural to be completed with a clear glaze. Perfect for beginners and experienced makers alike, this workshop offers a relaxed introduction to hand-building and a chance to create something both beautiful and functional for your home. After the workshop, we'll glaze and fire your pieces in the studio, ready for collection in approximately 4–6 weeks. Workshop date: Saturday, October 17th 4pm - 6.30pm
